Description

As described in Concise Medical Dictionary (Oxford University Press, 2010), Schizophrenia is basically a disorder associated with mental health which has its characteristics in decomposition of the thinking process along with the emotional responsiveness. So overall it’s a mental disorder where there is annihilation of the mental power and disorganized mental level. The most common manifestations include auditory hallucinations, nonconcentric and erratic delusions, lacking order of thoughts and speech along with the significant social or occupational dysfunction. According to Van Os J and Kapur S. (2009), the onslaught symptoms of the disorder arise during young adulthood and are associated with worldwide lifetime prevalence of around 0.3-0.7%. According to the neuroscience research Australia, 1 in 100 adolescence or young adulthood population is affected by the disorder.
Bipolar Disorder is also known classically as manic-depressive disorder and is associated with maniac mood disorder. According to Basco and Monica Ramirez (2006) relatively mood swing and elevation in associated activities accordingly referred as Mania, hypomania along with the depressive personality. Sometimes in a mixed state when both maniac and depressive episodes took place simultaneously.
