Description
Business excellence is an approach or philosophy, which has evolved from Total Quality Management (EQFM, 2012). It refers to development and enhancement of management systems and processes of an organization to improve organizational performance and creating stakeholder value (Lasrado, 2017). Various business models provide benchmarks and guidelines to achieve excellence in organizational performance and add value to stakeholders. This report critically assesses importance of business excellence models (BEMs) for public or private organizations. The motivation for adopting business excellence model is that it focuses on excelling in all the processes and practices of the organizational management and critically assessing enables organization to identify the areas, which can be further improved and analyze how it can contribute to the organizational performance and add more value to the organization and all stakeholders (EQFM, 2012)). Organizations by adopting BEMs can add further value to its performance and service and product delivery. The report also provides evidence of application of one of the models in Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
