Description
In this case study two not-for-profit organisations will be compared with the objective of finding the most suitable proposition when allocating a $200,000 donation from our company to these organisations in a bid to be seen as an ethical workplace. The two organisations are the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), an animal welfare organisation, and Greenpeace, an organisation that promotes environmental sustainability. The discussion will begin by reviewing the history, mission and aims of the respective organisations, as well as an outline of important projects and achievements. To maximize the value of the donation it is empirical to assess the managerial aspects of an organisation. Hence, the organisations will be compared on aspects of management, including organisational structure and culture, recruitment, marketing and promotion. Finally, recommendations will be made with regards to the donation, in line with the findings of this report.
