Human resources development occupies an important place in the growth and development of an organization by laying special emphasis on the learning strategies and development of the headcounts in an organization. With the increasing trend of globalization and internationalization, the concept of human resource development has acquired a lot of importance. The human resource development can be explained as a holistic approach which aims at molding the knowledge and behavior of the workforce by designing the different range of learning strategies and techniques which contributes towards the potential working of employees in an organization. According to Mathews, J., Megginson, D., & Surtees, M. (2004) the purpose of human resource development is to enhance the working capability and potential of the employees in an organization by development of learning strategies. The elements which forms the human resource development comprises of training and education aimed at inculcating learning into behavior.
