Description
India is an economically developing nation and gender diversity is driven by the need of the hour in its business environment. Be it in retail services, financial service, IT or ITES, the organization have understood the need for the gender diversity realizing the potential of the women which are quite different from men (Fisher & Lovell, 2006). Some profession like nursing and teaching are suiting the temperament and basic characteristics of women. In India, in early days women were seen working mostly as nurses or teachers but it has is changing now a lot. Women now have entered every field and they are proving themselves to be in par with men workforce. This paper researches gender diversity in India and if they have equal opportunities at the real life work place.
