In the corporate world, leadership be defined as one's ability to get others to willingly follow. A leader should have a clear vision, a vivid picture of where to go, as well as a firm grasp on what success looks like and how to achieve it. He should be able to communicate his vision in terms that causes his team mates to accept it. Out of all the resources that a leader has at his disposal to achieve the organizational goal, human resource is one of the important resource. (Charles & Christopher, 2005). If properly utilized could have a major impact on the organization. Leaders who empower their team with the decision making responsibilities do achieve more effectively than the other who interfere in the day to day affairs of their teams. Self managed team are the self-organized semi-autonomous small group whose members are determining, planning and managing their day-to-day activities and duties. In this paper let us analyse the inter-relationships between effective leadership, effective decision-making and empowered self managing teams.
